Power Sumou means Fighting by Power, always. Not trying to topple the opponent or so, but beating them purely by Power.

Being in a Power position at all times, not being lose. If you are lose, and your opponent commits a Matta, he will be able to catch you off-guard, and you will lose because you were in a weak position. You must always move via Power, not Flexibility or so.

Fighting on Power means stepping forth strongly, basically gripping the top of the Dohyou with your toes strongly to not give an inch like in Butsukarigeiko. If you step forth with Power you won't be in a weak position. The opponent will have an extra tough time fighting you.

For this it is key to keep your hips low like in Butsukarigeiko maintaining good Technique.
